S04 E09: Meet Dr Ganga Shreedhar, behavioural and experimental economist

Dr Ganga Shreedhar was an absolutely fascinating guest. She is an assistant professor in behavioural science at the London School of Economics. Ganga is an applied behavioural and experimental economist studying how to change human behaviour in ways that can benefit people and the planet. She discusses how the weather impacts our mood, behaviour and perhaps more importantly here in the UK - the nation's obsession with weather in conversation.
Ganga discusses why your mood might be low when it’s dark and damp, happy when it’s sunny and warm and why a weather forecast might never be right!
We were surprised to hear that weather might impact how much you spend or how much is invested in the stock market and even how much risk you might take day to day. On a more serious note Gang discusses new theories about how to communicate climate change and how we can all make a change.
This is a fascinating episode that taught Aisling and Gemma a whole new way of looking at the weather conversation they love to have.
